The Astopaputra Dharma Fellowship Society was originally formed to introduce and promote the eight great Bodhisattvas by means of conducting pujas and dharma teachings for these Bodhisattvas. The pujas involved were a series of pujas for the Eight Great Bodhisattvas led by H.E. Trungram Gyalwa Rinpoche.

These Eight Great Bodhisattvas are: Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara, Vajrapani, Maitreya, Ksitigarbha, Sarvanivaranaviskambhin, Akasgarbha and Samantabhadra.

Today, the society is not limited to its original activities and is responsible for organizing different types of UTBF Dharma activities in Singapore. Resident lama Khenpo Shenpen leads practice and gives advice to individuals.
